I choose to pick two interest groups who agree and disagree with miliary usage, more specific the U.S military. "Veterans For Peace" is an group who fought against the expansion of a U.S military base. On the other hand "Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs" (JINSA) is a group who favors the U.S military force.
The soul purpose of "Veterans For Peace" is not to fight of superpowers but to actually inform the public of the cost of war, not just financially but also emotionally. One thing they have achieved that I like they were able to stop the expansion of a U.S military base. By doing this, they showed that coming together can stop the world's most powerful government and military. "To restrain our governments from intervening, overtly and covertly, in the internal affairs of other nations
" This quote is straight from their statement of purpose. VFP goes against the oppression of foreign militaries. They want to be able to stand up and show peace. They show a bias against war and violence around the world . They want world peace and to abolish war. Some limitations that are can be seen are the amount of people they have and how they are spread around the world which makes it hard to come together.
Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs otherwise know as JINSA have a goal to get other countries who think alike to the U.S.A with a democracy. Mainly JINSA talked about the relationship between Israel and the U.S. That is a huge party of their group. One could say a milestone for JINSA. They also pride themselves because the U.S. is one of the strongest militaries if not the strongest in the world. "Finally JINSA's mission is to provide support for a strong and robust and effective U.S. military to implement U.S. national security policy when called upon" (1:20-1:34). JINSA shows a bias to the U.S and Israel's relationship that started at the end of ww2. They favor a strong democracy government who opposes the rise of communism. Some limitations seen are they do not seem to talk about other countries. They mainly talk about the middle east and Israel. It seems this relationship is what they value the most. They do not seem to care about other relationships.
This two interest groups have some differences like their stance on the U.S. military. On one hand they dislike the aggression of the U.S military and their size. On the other hand they like the huge number of soldiers and the government. Both share the same thought that a bigger group of people the stronger you will be. One artifacts promote the spread of the U.S. military and the other talked about stopping the expansion of U.S military in foreign nations

I choose to talk about Democrats and their ideologies. Democrats want to give back to the community and have a positive impact in their lives. They want to fight for equal pay wages between men and women, LGBT rights, and believe in immigration according to https://www.democrats.org. I feel they cover a good amount of the majority by their non traditional views. They are more open minded. Some major differences between democrats and republicans are gun control, same sex marriage and immigration. The reason I picked to talk about democrats is because they way they view the world are similar to mine. Also I like their new school non traditional views.
This artifact come from Youtube from a channel called “NowThis World”. I find this artifact reliable because it cites its sources in the description box. I find this artifacts properly represents the democrat party by explaining their history and current views on certain topics such as unemployment, same sex marriage, and health care. This artifact shows how democrats started to be more intervene in individuals lives. They became the party of the people. This might influence the public by showing the “positives” of this party. By doing this the viewer gets a bias opinion of the democrat party. One thing that isn’t mentioned in the video is pushing away the white work class. The atlantic states “The fear among some is that this polychromatic Democratic Party, open to all races, both genders, all sexual orientations, welcoming to immigrants... enough room for the working-class white voters who anchored the party from Andrew Jackson through Lyndon Johnson.”
Zoe Lofgren is affiliated with the democrat party ever since the 1995. She has lived in the Bay Area her whole life. She went to stanford on a scholarship and earned a degree in political sciences. On the official page of Lofgren we can see how her parties views on immigration which is a sensitive and controversial topic. Her stance on immigration is she supports it. She supports the DREAM ACT which lets immigrant people get a form of legal status. A clear bias is her grandparents are immigrants themselves. She talks about obama and his views on immigration sharing the same party background as democrats. She presents her stance by doing speeches and stating her opinion on her website. Some limitation to her stance is she does not talk about downside of having more undocumented immigrants come to the U.S.

Political Ideology
I'm an open minded individual who is a liberal. I believe that we should have strong, strict laws to protect the environment. I also believe that immigrants help our country instead of hurting it. This country was created by european immigrants.
On the Pew Questionnaire I got SL, which is solid liberal. I believe this suits me because I believe with what the liberals believe in such as less involvement in personal life from the government, open to pro-choice, open to homesexual mariage. Liberals tend to lean more towards democracy. Some important topics to me is protecting and making stricter environments even though it cost more it will be worth it. I also believe that if the US government does not intervene situations would be worst then we set them out to be. There are many key points that liberals point out and believe in.
